The town named Sri
Ganganagar is the administrative headquarters of Sri Ganganagar district. It is
the northernmost town of Rajasthan and one of the few well planned towns in the
country. The town is named after the Maharaja of Bikaner, Shri Ganga Singh Bahadur.
It is famous for food cultivation and its infrastructure and is rightly called
as the “Green District”.

Gogameri Mela, Bhadrakali Mela and Ramzan.

There are several
places of tourist interest in and around Sri Ganganagar. Some of them are Balaji
Dham (3 km away), Hindumal Kot Border (30 km away), Gurudwara Sri Budha Johar
Shahab (2 km away) and Laila Majnu ki Mazar (120 km away).

Air:
Amritsar airport is the
nearest airport to Sri Ganganagar. It is about 270 km away.
Rail:
Sri Ganganagar
Junction is 2 km away from the bus station and it is well connected to Delhi,
Rewari, Kalka, Howrah, Bathinda, Haridwar, Nanded, Firozpur, Suratgarh and
Hanumangarh.
Bus:
There are daily buses available to Sri Ganganagar main
bust stand from Jaipur, Delhi, Jodhpur, Chandigarh and Amritsar. Some of the
