Ranuja

Ranuja, now known as Ramdevra, is a small village located in the state of Rajasthan. It is also known as Ramdevra and is about 12 km north to the famous site of Pokhran. Ranuja is considered religiously important. The village is named after Baba Ramdevji, the villagers believe that ‘Ramsar Tank’ was built by Ramdevji himself.

Places to Stay
There are quite a few hotels and guests houses of varying rates in Ramdevra. Hotel Jeet Villa, Hotel Deep Mahal and Mystic Jaisalmer are some affordable hotels in the region. These hotels are about 90 km away from Ranuja.

Events/Festivals
Ramdevra fair which is held during the months of August and September is attended by devotees of Baba Ramdev from across the country. Other commonly celebrated festivals include Desert Festival and Holi.
           
Language
The official language of this village is Hindi.

Places to Visit
Ramdevra is basically a religious destination with numerous revered temples. Most popular ones include Ramdev Ji Maharaj Temple, Mata Malaci Ji Ka Mandir and Sri Hanuman Temple. One can use buses to commute in and out of Ramdevra.

Air
The airport closest to Ranuja is Jaisalmer Airport which is placed around 106 km away.

Train
Ranuja’s has its own railway head and trains such as Jaisalmer-Jodhpur Express, Howrah Jaisalmer Express and Jaisalmer - Delhi Express pass through this station.

Bus
Buses from and to Ranuja mostly connect neighbouring cities of Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur to this region. Volvo, AC Volvo and AC Seater buses are operated by bus service providers such as Kalpana Travels and Jakhar Travels.
