Repalle

Repalle is a town and a mandal located in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the banks of River Krishna and is popular for agriculture. Repalle is also known for handloom. In the olden days, Repalle used to be called as Revupalle, village on the river bank.

Important festivals celebrated in Repalle are Sankranthi (January), Shivrathri (February/March), Ugadi (March/April), Rama Navami (March/April), Vinayaka Chaturthi (August), Dussehra (September/October), Atla Tadde (September/October), Diwali (Diwali), Ramzan, Bakrid and Christmas (December).

Places of Interest
There are several places of tourist interest near Repalle. Some of them are Penumudi – Puligadda Bridge (5 km away from Repalle), Bhattiprolu Stupa (11 km away), Challapalli Fort (18 km away), Krishna Wildlife Sanctuary (12 km away) and Hamsaladeevi Beach (35 km away).

How to Get There
Air:
The nearest airport to Repalle is the Gannavaram Airport. It is about 100 km away from Repalle bus stand.

Rail:
Repalle has its own railway station which is connected to Tenali, Guntur and Hyderabad. The railway station is within walking distance from the bus stand.

Bus:
There are daily buses available to Tenali, Ponnur, Bapalla, Chirala, Guntur, Avanigadda, Vijayawada and Hyderabad. One of the best operators who offer good experience to passengers is RP Travels.
