Nandura

Nandura is a town situated in Buldhana District, Maharashtra. The town of Nandura is formed by two distinct spaces of land – Nandura Burzuk, the mainland and Nandura Khurd, located on the shores of Dnyaganga River. Nandura acts as a central hub and trading centre for the nearby villages.

Places to Stay
There are many budget hotels near Nandura which provide good accommodation. Some of them include Hotel Ashirwad (Tariff – Rs. 1500), Hotel Tulijai (Tariff – Rs. 1200) and Hotel Shraddha (Tariff – Rs. 1500).

Language
The official language of Nandura is Marathi. Andh and Hindi are also spoken in Nandura.

Events
Important festivals celebrated in Nandura are Diwali (October-November), Ganesh Chaturthi (August-September), Ramzan, Bhabubeej (celebrated on the 5th day after Diwali) and Maharashtra Day (1st May).

Places of Interest
There are several places of tourist interest in Nandura. Some of them are Dargah E Hazrat Shah Inayathullah and Dargah E Hazrat Sufi Sar Mast Kalandar (30 minutes away) and the famous statue of Hanuman, which is the tallest hanuman statue in the world, is in Nandura (3 km away from the bus stand).

How to Get There
Air:
The nearest airport is the Akola Airport. It is about 80 km away from Nandura.

Rail:
Nandura is well connected with major destinations like Kolkata, Mumbai, Bhusawal, Nagpur, and Khamgaon. Nandura railway station is about 20 minutes from the bus stand.

Bus:
There are daily bus services available to Nandura from Mumbai, Indore, Vyara, Songadh, Amravati and Pune.
