Shahpur

Shahpur also known as Shahapur is a town is located in the state of Karnataka. It is one of the northern-most towns in the state and is a part of the Gulbarga region. Like other places in North Karnataka, Shahpur flaunts rich natural beauty. Shahpur taluk contains thirty-six panchayats and it acts as the central hub for the villages around. Shahpur is about 500 km away from Bengaluru.

Places of Interest
There are some beautiful places that are of tourist interest in and around Shahpur. Some of them are Sleeping Buddha Hills (30 minutes from the bus stand, Charabasaveswara Temple Fort (1.5 km away), and Lotus Lake (1.5 km away).

How to Get There
Air:
The nearest airport to Shahpur is the Gulbarga Airport. It is about 70 km away from Shahpur.

Rail:
The nearest railhead is the Yadgir Railway Station and it is 30 km away. It is well-connected Gulbarga, Raichur, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Trivandrum, Nagercoil, Mumbai, Bijapure and Solapur.

Bus:
There are daily buses available to Hubli, Yadgir, Belgaum, Bangalore, and Gadag. Some of the best operators who offer good experience to passengers are SRS Travels, VRL Travels, Bharathi Travels and Shakuntala Travels.
