Sagwara

Sagwara is a city located in the Dungarpur district, Rajasthan. Sagwara is well known in the region for temple architecture and sculpting. It is the third largest place in the Vaagar region and has its roots closely linked with Jainism. Sagwara’s gold jewellery showrooms are very famous in the region.

Important fairs and festivals celebrated in and around Sagwara are The Baneshwar Fair, which is held in February and Bhiluda’s Ramnavami Festival. On the day of Ramnavami, the traditional dance of Bhavai is performed in Bhiluda.

There are several places of tourist interest around Sagwara. Some of them are Babjee Moula Fakrudeen Shrine in Galiakot (19 km away), Mangadh Hill (35 km away) and Badal Mahal (37 km away).

Air:
The nearest airport is the Dabok Airport. It is about 130 km away from Sagwara.

Rail:
The nearest railhead is the Dungarpur railway station. It is about 40 km away and is well connected with Ahmedabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Ratlam and Udaipur.

Bus:
There are daily bus services available to Sagwara from Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Dungarpur.
